The Wanderer is an experimental symbiotic puppet I made for a future animation project. He's a giant hermit crab residing in the hull of an abandoned vessel.

 

His body is made of actual shells of snow crabs and lobster, with armature wires as its skeleton and epoxy putty, Sculpey to hold its shape. 

The vessel is kit bashed using a model tugboat kit, several soviet tank kits and a cannon off a German railroad cannon kit.

his body is painted with airbrush candy colors and the vessel is hand painted with acrylic paint.
